Description

André Waignein, one of the foremost contemporary composers of wind music, wrote Virtuoso on the commission of Thierry Patel, head of the Music School of Gaillon-Aubevoye (France). It consists of a single movement divided into two sections, each characterized by a particular mood. The two parts are played one after the other without pause. Michael Arrignon, French concert clarinettist and teacher at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, performed Virtuoso at its world premier. The concert band of the music School of Gaillon-Aubevoye, conducted by Thierry Patel, accompanied him.
