The March 2016 concert at Camerata Musicale Sulmonese (Sulmona, Italy) featured a number of world premieres of Smith’s works, including the Ave Maria (below) and his Three Pieces for Piano. On a trip to Mexico City in 2015, Smith was inspired by three different statues, whose names became the titles of these three short movements: Ariadna Abandonada, Dolor, and Flor de Fango.
