Description
With influences of Mahler’s construct and Walt Whitman’s poems, Night Rivers takes its title from Whitman, and the first seven bars inform much of the following one-movement symphony. The fluid score is one of movement and repose, and impressive enough to have Fanfare’s Stephen Ellis submit a “Hall of Fame Review” for only the second time. “I can’t be more direct: Night Rivers?
