One of five new compositions commissioned as part of Escaich’s residency at the Festival Aspects des Musiques d’Aujourd’hui in Caen, France and premiered by students at the conservatory. The violin and cello chase each other through musical snippets, building the piece and filling in each other’s thoughts, until the eventual deconstruction and finale. An intricate interplay of about one minute.
