Description
Eastman School of Music Professor Emeritus of Composition Warren Benson was, ironically, a self-taught composer, who eventually created almost 150 works for a wide range of instrumentation and voices. Benson garnered many awards, including a Guggenheim and two successive Fulbright grants. He also enjoyed three residencies at the MacDowell Colony, where he wrote his Quintet.
