The Lament of Aeneas was commissioned by Brian Bensing and is included on his CD New Music for Flute and Piano available through Eroica Classical Recordings. A lament in the truest sense of the word, the piece is in an expressive contemporary style that explores several of the contrasting emotions associated with the grieving process. *Note: The piece exists in a setting for alto flute and orchestra as well; this version is also available through Falls House Press.
