Kids love to sound cool. At the Grade 1 level, though there are often jazz titles, seldom do they get to play real jazz harmonies. Larry McKenna is a master at composing a song that is very easy with great voice leadings using real jazz style chords. The flutes get to play trills in a couple of places. The melody is just very nice and easy to play. 1st trumpet’s highest note is C. Clarinets do not cross the break.
