Description
As a composer, Anton Wranitzky (1761 – 1820) studied with Albrechtsberger, Mozart and Haydn and mainly wrote violin concertos, symphonies, string quartets and sonatas, the major part of which has not been printed yet. The Echo Sonata, presented here for the first time ever, is a quite unusual composition: it was presumably written for a circle of Viennese flutists who particularly enjoyed ensemble playing.
