Description
Following a stately introduction that reflects the massive grandeur of medieval cathedrals, the orchestra takes off with an energetic original theme that culminates with the inspiring classic hymn, “Praise to the Lord.” The substantial use of multiple meters keeps everyone alert, including the conductor. Optional notes are provided for less experienced ensembles to make this playable in first position (except basses). Technically conservative enough for 3rd year groups, musically and rhythmically interesting enough to hold the attention of advanced players.
