Description
The last of three sonata for violin by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg (1843-1907), his VIOLIN SONATA No. 3 in C minor, Op. 45 remains also his most popular, having established itself in the standard violin repertoire, and was also a personal favorite of the composer’s. The three-movement work premiered in December of 1887 in Leipzig, with noted Russian violinist Adolf Brodsky and Grieg himself at the piano.
