Description
Edward Elgar (1857-1934) completed these two companion works for violin and piano around 1890. Among Elgar’s most popular melodies, the dreamy Chanson de nuit (Night Song) and more cheerful Chanson de Matin (Morning song), neither demand highly technical playing, permitting both songs to remain evergreen works in the violin repertoire.
