Description

Francesco Molino (1768 – 1847) was a famous virtuoso both on the violin and the guitar whose unsteady life led him from his native country Italy to Germany, France, Spain and England. His guitar tutor op. 33 is still known today. Molino rendered the theme of the variations quite freely – it is possible he did not even know the original. This edition is a contribution to the eagerness for arrangements which widely spread in the 19th century and whose popularity is ever-growing today.
