Although F. L. Dulon (1769 – 1826) went blind in his early childhood due to a medical malpractice, he was given flute lessons by his father. Dulon began composing at an early age, and when he was 10, he had his first public performance. The new edition of the three duets opus 6 for flute and viola – an instrumentation only rarely used – is based on an edition printed in 1809/10.
