Description
Mozart’s three rondos are presented here as an excellent introduction to his Viennese piano style. The editors point out that the F Major rondo was later enhanced by Mozart for inclusion in his Sonata K.533, but all three were originally intended as independent piano performance pieces. The A minor Rondo K.511 is described as “one of the pinnacles of Mozart’s piano music,” with “searing emotional distress.” All are edited with Vienna Urtext’s dedication to detail, in consultation with autographs and first editions.
