Description
Following the Three Romances, Op. 22 (RL 41020) by Clara Schumann, this book constitutes a further volume in the series of arrangements for viola by the ?Kalinowskys. This husband-and-wife musical duo have set themselves the task of adding to the modest repertoire for this instrument with attractive pieces. Unlike earlier arrangements of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Songs without Words, in which the melody was played by the string instrument and the accompaniment by the piano, here the arrangers allow both instruments to perform as equal partners.
