Description
The title of Carl Strommen’s piece for concert band, Aerius, is a Latin term meaning “soaring” or “rising aloft”. The piece begins with and develops a lush brass chorale before leading to an energetic presto section. Ultimately, the composition comes full circle and finishes with a majestic return of the chorale material. Aerius will prove a welcome addition to your repertoire.
