Description
David Noon was a member of the faculty of Manhattan School of Music for 30 years, using a combination of entertainment and his vast knowledge of music history to encourage generations of students in pursuit of music careers. He was concurrently a wonderfully prolific composer, with well over 200 works to his credit. Cadenzas is an earlier work, reflecting the influences of serial music composers, such as Webern and Boulez, shortly before Noon’s compositional style would take on new directions. This is the 1974 Carl Fischer Facsimile Edition performance score. For advanced performers.
