Flute 1, Flute 2, Flute 3, Flute 4George Frideric Handel

Description

The concerto presented here could well be considered one of Georg Friedrich Handel’s (1685-1759) concerti grossi, since it features the typical change between tutti and solo parts in the two outer movements. Indeed, Handel called these two movements “Concerto” and they actually form a unit of their own. They were originally written for the “Klavier”. The center movement is an unknown piece which did not belong to the other two movements in the first place, but integrates nicely as a slow center movement.
