Description
Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) composed his CONCERTO in G Major, (Op. 51/4) RV 151, between the mid-1720s and 1730, around the time that he was writing the FOUR SEASONS. It does not feature solo instruments, despite being called a concerto. Alternately titled CONCERTO ALLA RUSTICA (rustic concerto), it displays a clear influence of the violin techniques promoted by Georg Philipp Telemann. As one of his most popular concertos, it has regularly found its way into films and TV shows. This Kalmus edition is compiled by Felix Schroeder. Instrumentation: Hpchd: Str (8-8-5-5-5 in set).
