Description
The march Defenders Day is named for the legal holiday in Maryland which commemorates the successful defense of the city of Baltimore on September 12, 1814 from an invading British force during the War of 1812. This event would lead to the writing of the United States of America’s national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The form and style follow the standard American march format and is perfect for festival performance.
