Description
There is a bit of a program to this song. Imagine a troubadour traveling through the countryside and comes upon a castle, seen first in the distant. As he travels closer, one can hear the sound of activity around and in the castle. There is a bit of a medieval and Renaissance sound to this work. The first clarinet plays down the break, but never up the break. 1st trumpet’s highest note is D. This is an excellent composition for contest.
