Description
Italian composer Ottorino Respighi (1879-1936) is most famous for his Roman trilogy, which includes Fountains of Rome (1916), Pines of Rome (1924), and Roman Festivals (1928). These eight songs, drawn from several of his song collections, are written for high voice and combine old-world Italian sensitivity with modern harmonic nuance and tender phrasing.
