The baritone sax part and the piano part are sophisticated yet playable; the high range goes up to F# without extended altissimo. Says the composer, “Fable unfolds like an allegorical narrative, similar to many a fable by Aesop.” Krzywicki pairs “an aggressive, assertive music” with “a pulsing yet lyrical event” to create the scene.
