Description

Luigi Denza’s rollicking tribute to the first cable car line (Funicular) up Mount Vesuvius, was written in 1880, but has the insouciant air of an Italian street song. David Eddleman’s elaborate and rambunctious treatment preserves this character and is a fine work out for a mixed choir. It will make a terrific concert closer.
