Description
This waltz was written in 1868 and includes many of the traditional features of this style, including a Ländler and several key changes. Although the waltz style is maintained throughout the piece, there are opportunities for solo instruments and changes of tempo create an interesting structure overall. This is a popular work for concerts and the continual challenges for the woodwind players means that it is as fun to play as it is to hear by the audience.
