Description
Stewardship manifests itself in various forms as illustrated in this original text. Themes include building up others and out of love. Multiple repeats reuse musical material, quickly building familiarity in the learning process. The vocal ranges are moderately low with easy rhythms. The piano accompaniment fully supports the voices, adds vertical structure, and brings interest to the simple melodic rhythm. Performance options include singing stanza 1 or 2 as a solo, duet, soli, or unison choir. The final stanza may be used as a closing response or sending forth in worship. This may be sung as an anthem or as congregation members bring forward their pledge cards during the stewardship campaign. Appropriate days: Service themes on stewardship, commitment, and general worship.
