Commissioned to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Lansing State Journal newspaper, this marvelous symphonic march was premiered by the Michigan State University Wind Symphony in November 2005, conducted by John Whitwell. In combining elements of our country’s rich march history with his own blend of contemporary harmonies and masterful orchestrational techniques, John Moss has created an impressive work destined to become a staple in the repertoire of enduring concert marches.
