Description
Universal Edition presents another, lesser-known side of Arvo Paert in Songs from Childhood, a collection of 15 songs he composed early in his career. From improvised pieces he played for children at a nursery school to later improvs for studios and children’s theaters, these pieces show the spontaneity and joy of a composer just finding his way. A separate piano score with included CD (UE036693) features recordings with new instrumental accompaniments.
