Description
Rachmaninoff’s Morceaux de salon, op 2, were probably composed in 1891 and comprise two attractive and contrasting pieces, Prélude and Danse orientale, in the composer’s unmistakable idiom. The Prélude is known to have been performed on 30 January 1892 in Moscow by the dedicatee, A. A. Brandukov, with Rachmaninoff at the piano.
This new edition presents the work in crisp, modern typography and with improved layout for the cello part.
