Description
The renowned Bengali poet, Tagore, was the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in literature in 1913. His elegant verse suits the lyrical quality of the music. There is a prominent violin obligato that soars over the rich harmonic language. And, as always, the Brunner piano accompaniment is supportive and expressive but never in the way. The violin part is included in the choral score.
