Description
America has been tempered in the refining fire of conflict both here and abroad. Sometimes the battlefields are clearly defined.Sometimes they are difficult to discern. The greatest battle we face is not a war of province, it is a war of principalities. Hear the words of Paul, the Apostle, written two thousand years ago. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 There is an ancient struggle between good and evil that vies for the conscience and conduct of the nation. Throughout history, the sentries that stand guard in this war are the people of God, thosewho seek His wisdom and justice to discern what is right and what is wrong. However, it is not enough just to recognize the difference. We must make a choice. The path of truth and justice is often difficult, yet the destination is worth the struggle – the destination is freedom. The path of deception may seem to be the path of least resistance, but the destination is bondage and the loss of liberty.Once to every one of us comes a time when we must choose a path. This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16
