Description
The events of a story by the Brothers Grimm are presented in the form of very easy piano pieces. This unique, incomplete story has inspired an unusual musical work: young players can make up titles for the last eight pieces, and they are also encouraged to note down their thoughts and feelings inspired by the music, or express them in drawings.
“From the nienth to 16th piece the titles are left up to each student…It is a creative idea, and it works because the pieces are interesting…There are lots of expressive ideas in each piece as well as articulation marks. This is excellent exposure to new sounds for young pianists presented in a clever and fun way.”–Clavier
