Description
Editor/Publisher Matanya Ophee came across the manuscript in a London shop almost 40 years ago. Unfamiliar with the composer, he was nevertheless impressed with the guitar part in particular, treated as a standard accompanying instrument, yet allowed to “shine forth in brilliant and quite virtuosic solo passages.” The work was put aside as Ophee successfully launched Editions Orphée and built its catalog into an important asset for today’s guitarists. He has now returned to this early project to bring it to print.
