Description

The “virtuoso fiddler” Niccol? Paganini (1782 – 1840) did not just impress his audience with his enormous technical skill, but also with his unusual expressive play, which aimed directly at the feelings of the audience and made the senses of the ladies in the 19th century swooning. The current quartetto is particularly emotional and offers musicians all kind of facettes of musical expression. Interesting in this work is also that viola and the violoncello can come up with solo passages. This edition refers to the autograph of the Biblioteca Casanatense in Rom, which has not fully survived. Therefore a few cords in the guitar part have been added by the author.
