‘Rialto Ripples’ was composed in 1917 and is George Gershwin’s first published instrumental piece – it is also his only piano rag.  This arrangement by Melanie Thorne is a fun piece to play and clearly demonstrates Gershwin’s emerging style. All the instruments in this SATB version are of equal standard and even the baritone sax is able to show its versatility!
