Carter Pann’s most beloved work in the wind ensemble repertory, Slalom was originally composed for orchestra and was awarded the Finalist honor in the BBC’s international Masterprize competition. Slalom is a dazzling and visceral downhill sprint inspired by the composer’s runs down Steamboat Springs, with graphic mileposts in the score such as Scent of Pine and On One Sky Gyrating.
