Description
Our series “The mandolin in Italian baroque music” wants to present Italian composers of the 18th century whose works have not been published for a long time. Lino Totaro, harpsichordist and conductor of the “Ensemble Baroque” in Turin, is responsible for discovering and selecting pieces for this series which are full of vivid expression and inventiveness. G.B. Gervasio, famous mandolin player from Naples, lived in Italy, Great Britain and Germany. The manuscript can be found in the University library in Uppsala/Sweden. The editor deciphered it, corrected it, harmonized the basso and supplemented it with dynamic marks.
