Description

The Romanian composer Georges Enesco (1881-1955) spent his career in Paris, but much of his music bears the unmistakable influence of his native folk music. His SUITE D’ORCHESTRE, Op. 9, (Suite No. 1), is the first of three such suites for orchestra, the last of which was completed in 1938. The C major suite premiered under the baton of the composer at a Bucharest Philharmonic Society concert on February 23, 1903.
