Description
Kennedy’s first composition for string quartet was the result of a commission by Musica Reginae, although the composer was eager to write for such an ensemble, anyway. The Suite was entered under the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra’s Project 440, where it garnered such comments as, “Excitement, energy, beauty, craft are all here,” and “This composer definitely has the knack to write for strings.” Read more about the Suite at the Project 440 page here (with 5-minute audio clip).
