Description
The quartet is a reflection of the life of the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864 – 1901) who sought refuge in the demimonde of Montmartre. The piece which consists of two movements was composed in 1997 and was written in an expressive style reminiscent of the late romantic period. It has got rhythmic finesse. The level of difficulty is upper medium. Vladimir Vlna was born in Prague in 1973, he lives in Pilsen and works as a composer and bassoon player.
