Description
Kay’s second one-act opera was based on the book of the same title by Robert O. Blechman. His retelling of the famous medieval legend moved Kay to spend the best part of six months in creative output to produce a 50-minute opera. The Juggler of Our Lady was premiered in New Orleans by Xavier University Opera Workshop in 1962. The scoring calls for 15 voices with mixed chorus and orchestra.
