Featuring a text based upon Eleanor Farjeon’s entrancing poem, “The Night Will Never Stay” allows one to recall the charm of a childhood bedtime story. With a childlike understanding of time’s passage, SAB voices tell the tale as their own, but the piece can just as well be sung by adult singers as the “bedtime storytellers.” The music weaves its own special magic in bringing the story to life.
