Description
Una Cavatina, the third piece from op. 65, is meant for subbass flute, but can also be played by a flute with normal size, an alto flute or bass flute. The title refers to the form of an aria widely spread in the 18th and 19th century which was called cavatina. Further references to modified aspects of the cavatina are being made by hidden quotes from Mozart’s “Die Hochzeit des Figaro“ and Beethoven’s String Quartet op. 130. Quite an effective piece!
