6 Easy Sonatas by Johann Sebastian Bach’s grand-pupil Johann Wilhelm H��ler, who met Mozart in Dresden, gave concerts with Haydn in London and later became Imperial Russian Court Kapellmeister at the court of Catherine the Great in St Petersburg and popularized Bach’s piano works in Russia. These pieces bridge the gap between intermediate to early-advanced sonatas from the styles of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven and are among the most important piano works from the Viennese Classical era outside Vienna.
