Description
This edition of Johannes Brahms’ Eight Piano Pieces Op. 76 is edited by Carl Seemann and Kurt Stephenson. The pieces were written in the late 1870s, mostly in the summer of 1878. Containing four ‘Capriccios’ and four ‘Intermezzos’, Brahms was as generic as possible with the titles, to avoid any programmatic associations. Generally the Capriccios are more dramatic and faster, whilst the Intermezzos are quieter and calmer.
