Guitar 1, Guitar 2, Guitar 3, Guitar 4Hans Bruederl

Description

The composer of this piece, Hans Brüderl, has been lecturing at the college of music “Mozarteum” in Salzburg since 1986. He dedicated this piece to his ensemble, the ‘Salzburg Guitar Quartet’. As the title already suggests, the piece was composed ‘around E’ (the syllable ‘mi’ refers to the tone ‘E’) and the ‘E’ string of the guitar. The tonal attraction of this piece lies in its guitar-specific playing techniques such as arpeggios and the shifting of fingerings/chords. As the piece is not too difficult, it is especially suited for the use in music lessons.
