Composed in a moderate modern style, it still demands skills in modern techniques. The level is medium difficulty. John Van Buren, born 1952 in Portland, Oregon, is since 1992 assistant professor and chief of the studio for modern music at the conservatory in Augsburg. His work “Canzone” (ZZM 34190) for flute and piano has already been published by Zimmermann.
