Description
The “Noble Dinner Music” by Robert Delanoff, a composer and musician living in Munich, is quite a sparkling and effective piece of chamber music in three movements which shows the three instruments’ ranges at great length. The titles of the movements are “Dance of the Polyps”, “Stalactites” and “Time for Raki” the latter of which is dominated by the 9/8 measure, the basis of Turkish folk music. As the piece is quite virtuoso for all instruments involved, it requires technical skill, precise ensemble playing and musical experience. It is dedicated to the Trio Papillon who also recorded it on CD. This edition is equipped with a double score for flute and oboe which gives the musicians a better view and may help to reduce rehearsal time.
