August Hugo Distler (1908-1942) was the organist at the St. Jacobi in L�beck, Germany in 1931. In 1933 he became the head of the chamber music department at the L�beck Concervatory and a teacher at Spandauer Keirchenmusikschule. Written in the Neo-Baroque style, ORGAN PARTITA, Op. 8, No. 1 is based on the Martin Luther’s hymn “Nun kmm, der Heiden Heiland”. Includes four movements: 1. Toccata, 2. Choral mit Variationen, 3.
