Description
Originally published in 1831, Quatre Polonaises pour le pianoforte was one of Clara Schumann’s earliest published works. The pieces are written in a typical Polonaise style, evoking a Polish dance in triple meter and ternary form. Suitable for the advancing-intermediate pianist, this set of pieces allows the pianist to focus on balancing right hand melodic lines with robust left hand accompaniment, while introducing them to the work and harmonic style of one of the greats of piano composition.
